Support
We’re glad to help. Write to lamp@nookpages.com, or in Lamp, open Settings › Contact support. Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and what happened; a screenshot helps. Please don’t send passwords or payment details.
Restore your purchases
If you subscribed to Lamp Pro and it isn’t showing:
- Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account you subscribed with.
- In Lamp, open Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases. The subscription screen also has Restore at the bottom.
To use Lamp Pro on more than one iPhone, sign in to the same Lamp account on each (Settings › Create your account), then tap Restore purchases if Pro isn’t showing. Restoring on an iPhone that isn’t signed in to that account moves Lamp Pro to it, away from your other iPhone.
Cancel a subscription
- Open your iPhone’s Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Lamp.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, or Cancel Free Trial during a trial.
In Lamp, Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription opens the same page. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends or your subscription renews to avoid the next charge. Deleting Lamp, or your Lamp account, doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Apple handles payments, so refunds are Apple’s decision: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Delete your account
In Lamp, open Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete account and confirm. This deletes your Lamp account and its data on our servers, at RevenueCat and PostHog, and on your iPhone, whether or not you ever signed in. A few records are kept for a short time; our Privacy Policy lists them.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription. If you have one, cancel it as well.
Report a study note
If a study note looks wrong, one-sided or unkind:
- At the end of the note, tap Report (next to “AI-written study note”), or tap the thumbs-down next to “Was this helpful?”.
- Choose what was wrong: Inaccurate, Took a side, Hard to follow, Too long or Not respectful.
Reports are read when Lamp’s study notes are reviewed. To tell us more, email us with the passage and what’s wrong.
Report an answer in Ask
Tap Report under the answer and choose a reason. Then choose whether to send your question and the answer with your report, or the reason only. Reports about unsafe or harmful answers are checked every day.
Move to a new iPhone
To bring your saved verses, streak and reading place with you, sign in first on your current iPhone:
- In Lamp, open Settings and tap Create your account.
- Choose Continue with Apple or Continue with email.
On your new iPhone, tap I already use Lamp on the welcome screen and sign in the same way. If Lamp Pro isn’t showing, use Restore purchases. An anonymous account, one that never signed in, can’t be moved to another iPhone.
Reminders and widgets
Daily verse reminder: in Lamp, open Settings › Reminders to turn it on and choose a time. If reminders don’t arrive, check your iPhone’s Settings › Notifications › Lamp, and any Focus that’s on.
Add a widget: touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit, then Add Widget (on iOS 17, tap + instead), search for Lamp, choose a size and tap Add Widget. Lamp’s Settings › Widgets shows the same steps, and how to add Lamp to your Lock Screen.
If you need someone to talk to
Lamp isn’t an emergency service. If you might hurt yourself or someone else, or you aren’t safe, call your local emergency number now: 911 in the United States and Canada, 000 in Australia, or 111 in New Zealand.
These crisis lines are free and confidential, and open day and night:
- United States: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Call or text 988.
- Canada: 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline. Call or text 988.
- Australia: Lifeline. Call 13 11 14.
- New Zealand: Need to talk? Call or text 1737.
How Lamp responds: study notes on painful passages show these lines on a card that Lamp writes, not the AI. If a message in Ask says in plain words that you may be in danger, such as that you want to die, Lamp doesn’t send it: it shows its own words and these lines at once, even offline, never an AI answer. A question in the words of someone in danger, such as one about “suicidal thoughts”, gets this help too, instead of an answer. If another question mentions suicide, self-harm, an overdose, a medical emergency or someone hurting you, Lamp sends it and shows these lines at once; the reply is then Lamp’s own words or a gentle AI answer, with the lines above it. The reply to a question about abuse, grief or depression shows these lines too. Lamp spots all of these by their words and can miss a message put another way: if you’re in danger, call one of the numbers above now. Lamp’s AI doesn’t act as a counselor, pastor or doctor, and doesn’t pray for you.
